The Emperor has cited its lack of regular use, questions surrounding its practicality, and the obstruction created by the large complex within the surrounding area as reasons for its demolition.</p><p>Following the decision, the palace grounds will instead be transformed into a public park, opening the area to citizens and providing a new green space within the capital.</p><p>The decision comes alongside several other developments within the Totemian Empire, including new government funding and changes to the Imperial Government.</p><h2>Chancellor Announces Funding for Catalonia</h2><p>Chancellor Jisnt Vericoel has also announced the allocation of 10,000 shillengs in funding to Catalonia to support its continued development.</p><p>The funding has been provided to assist Catalonia with its governmental and civic development, giving the region additional resources for future projects and improvements.</p><p>The decision demonstrates the continued involvement of the Low Government in supporting the Empire’s constituent territories and their development.</p><h2>Lucius Cornelius Appointed Minister of the Interior</h2><p>In another major government development, Lucius Cornelius, previously serving as a judge, has been appointed as the new Minister of the Interior.</p><p>Cornelius will assume responsibility for the Interior Ministry, taking on a significant role within the administration of the Totemian Empire.</p><p>His appointment marks a transition from the judiciary into the Imperial Government, bringing his previous experience as a judge into one of the Empire’s principal ministerial offices.</p><p>With the former imperial residence to be replaced by a public park, new funding being directed toward Catalonia, and a new Minister of the Interior taking office, the Totemian Government continues its efforts to develop and reorganise the Empire’s institutions and territories.</p><p>God save the Emperor!</p><p>Slavya Totémija!</p>","coverImageUrl":null,"timelineLayout":"VERTICAL","documentUrl":null,"documentViewUrl":null,"documentContentType":null,"originalFilename":null,"documentByteSize":null,"attachments":[],"postedAt":"2026-09-06T12:00:00.000Z","publishedAt":"2026-10-29T03:06:49.024Z","updatedAt":"2026-10-29T03:06:49.041Z","path":"/articles/news/38","timelineItems":[]}}
