In recent times I have not been able to give this office the presence and attention it deserves, and in good conscience I can no longer continue in this role.</p><p>Until a new Ecumenical Patriarch has been elected and enthroned, I shall remain in service to the Church as Locum Tenens of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, attending to the day-to-day needs of the faithful during this transitional period.</p><p>I hereby call for the election of the next Ecumenical Patriarch of New Totemgrad. Any member of the Totemian Orthodox Church in good standing who wishes to stand as a candidate is invited to come forward. Up to twelve (12) candidates may stand. The result of the election will be submitted to His Imperial Majesty for confirmation before the new Patriarch is enthroned.</p><p>May God guide this election and bless whoever is called to lead His flock.</p><p>--</p><blockquote><p><br />To his Grace Vladimyr I, Ecumenical Patriarch of New Totemgrad <strong>Ecumenical Patriarch Vladimyr</strong>, I ask for your blessing first and foremost and secondly I would like to introduce myself as a seminarian (I was specifically added by <strong>Emperor Vasili I</strong> to be your replacement due to my profession on NOM).
